Blogging is blogging

What's the first thing a brand must never be? Overpromising. What's the second thing a brand must never be? Inconsistent. What's the third thing a brand must never be? Boring.

So, congratulations my friends. I have more fingers in a hand than posts on the blog since March, 2. Is this the way we want to manage our brands?

Yeah, I know. "We've been too busy". Okay. Here's my answer: "I don't have time = I don't have interest".

Blogging is blogging. Everyday. No holidays. There's a lot of us writting here, enough to keep the blog quite alive.

How many customers have we lost in this "impasse"? No less than 95%. Probably more. Probably all of them. The most important part of selling is... post-selling.

As I recently read: "you must keep talking to your customers: while they're talking to you, they can't talk to your competitors".

Digital Branding One-A-Day Plan

This post is both a distillation of and elaboration on my Self-Branding & Promotion post: resources for building a digital branding plan of action from my fellow BlogHers and related web wanderings.

Recommended start (no geek speak): Elise Bauer's series of posts leading up to BlogHer06:

How to Build Blog Traffic - Intro
2-4: Content
3-4: Community
4-4: How to Build Blog Traffic

Additional presentations and perspective on the blog trafficing topic, including a compilation of Elise and Vanesssa Fox's BlogHer07 Technical Tools to Build Traffic session, is at Elise's BlogHer portal.

Of course, "the energy isn't in the idea; it's in the execution" (The Big Moo). My goal is to incorporate at least one new tool or technique per week. For you overachievers on the one-a-day plan, check out Uzair's compilation of over 310 essential reads for bloggers, a compilation of tips & techniques from ProBlogger, Mashable, Matt Huggins, et. al.
